Commerce infrastructure, finished for the merchant.
Gerai builds and operates localized storefronts for independent brands in Southeast Asia. We do the catalogue, checkout, delivery and WhatsApp work that usually sits between a product spreadsheet and a shop that can take real orders.
The company behind Gerai
Gerai is a trading name of World Council for AI PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore. The legal entity—not a separate Gerai company—contracts for and operates the service.

What we build
Gerai is a done-for-you storefront service rather than a template licence. A merchant supplies the product information and photographs already available to them; Gerai turns those inputs into a branded, mobile-first shop and connects the local systems needed to operate it.
- Storefront
- A merchant-owned brand, domain and localized buying journey.
- Catalogue
- Product imagery and descriptions built with AI, then reviewed by a person.
- Checkout
- Local payment methods, cash on delivery and live courier rates where configured.
- Operations
- Web and WhatsApp orders in one phone-first merchant queue.
Local means operational, not decorative
Our Southeast Asia focus is reflected in the buying and operating details: local language copy, QRIS and e-wallets in Indonesia, DuitNow and FPX in Malaysia, cash-on-delivery handling, courier rates from the merchant’s configured shipping origin, and WhatsApp as a place to browse and order. The exact rails and couriers depend on the merchant’s country, eligibility and provider accounts.
The merchant remains the seller
Buyers pay through the licensed payment gateway connected for the merchant. Settlement goes directly from that gateway to the merchant’s own bank account; customer funds do not pass through Gerai. The merchant also controls its prices and stock, and can request exports of customer and order data.
AI does the first pass. A person makes the publishing decision.
Gerai uses AI to turn ordinary product photographs into catalogue imagery and to draft product descriptions in the merchant’s language and tone. Generated work is not treated as finished work: a person reviews the catalogue before it reaches a live shop. The same boundary applies to the branded WhatsApp assistant, which handles defined catalogue and order-status tasks and escalates other questions rather than pretending to be human.
Evidence over adjectives
We prefer a working checkout, a reviewed catalogue and a real merchant screen to broad claims about transformation. Our public examples are demonstration shops produced with the live product; they are evidence of the system’s output, not invented customer endorsements. A walkthrough is therefore practical: product list in, storefront and operating flow out.
